Paroedura Picta era con me dal dicembre 2005 (credo avesse circa 4 mesi al momento dell'acquisto...) ed è morto il 27 giugno 2006 per cause a me sconosciute...purtroppo è morto in un periodo per me pieno di impegni e, un po' per questo ed un po' per lo shock (il mio primo geco morto...), non ho approfondito la cosa...all'inizio avevo imputato il problema al caldo, ma ho seri dubbi che la vera causa sia stata quella visto che comunque è un animale che si adatta bene ad ogni situazione e che continuava ad alimentarsi e a cacciare regolarmente...
in ogni caso lo tenevo in un fauna box con una ciotolina dell'acqua sempre a disposizione, un tappino col calcio ed una ciotola con occasionalmente delle tarme della farina. In inverno tenevo una temperatura di 28 gradi di giorno e di 20 - 22 la notte, mentre d'estate era senza riscaldamento "esterno" e rimaneva sui 30 - 32 di giorno e sui 26 - 27 la notte...nebulizzavo una volta al giorno e lo alimentavo con grilli (circa una decina a settimana), tarme della farina e raramente con camole del miele.

the Paroedura Picta male was with me since December 2005 (i think that he was 4 months when o bought him) and he died on June 27th 2006 for reasons that i don't know...furthermore he died in a very busy moment for me and, due to this and for the shock (he was my first dead...) i didn't go deeper in the death reasons...at the beginning i thought that it was due to the hot weather of the period, but now i don't think so because is a very adaptive gecko and he still fed him and went hunting regularly...
however, i kept him in a fauna box with a dish of water, a little tap with calcium and a dish with sometimes mealworms. in the winter season i kept the fauna at 28 degrees by day and 20-22 degrees by night, while in the summer season it was without any external heater, so it was at 30-32 degrees by day and 26-27 by night...i mist it once a day and i fed him with crickets (about ten per week...), mealworm and rarely with waxworm.
