L'occhio è bellissimo! Ma di genetica cos'è? come è nato questo geco, da che genitori?

First two geckos are from pairing Mack Snow Eclipse female (non het) and Mack Snow Bell Enigma male so they are het RADAR (Bell Albino Eclipse). Next two are from the same male and Red Stripe het Bell Albino female. Probably these evil eyes will fade away... I have an Eclipse baby that had these eyes when hatched but unfortunately they fade away.

I primi due sono nati da Mack Snow Eclipse femmina (non HET) e Mack Snow Bell Enigma maschio, qundi entrambi het RADAR (Albino Bell Eclipse). Gli altri due sono nati dallo stesso maschio e Red Stripe het Bell Albino femmina. Probabilmente questi occhi cattivi svaniranno ... Ho un cucciolo Eclipse che aveva questi occhi quando nacque, ma purtroppo sono svaniti.

Ma quindi In realtà l'Eclipse non è la pupilla deformata ma l'iride nero!?

Io penso che l'eclipse sia una depigmentazione dell'iride....infatti in certi raptor che hanno solo una leggera ombreggiaturasi vede la pupilla funzionare alla perfezione. Invece che mi confonde sono gli occhi SS..il meccanismo dev'essere diverso infatti non esistono gli snake eye, oppure quello dei BB che anche nell'albino è talmente scuro da sembrar nero, poi ho anche letto di una mutazione random nei rainwater che dà snake eyed ma niente a che vedere con il gene eclipse...mahhh
Se quel baby dovesse mantenere quella colorazione degli occhi, sarebbe davvero notevole! Ma credo che purtroppo svanirà.

I am not sure what determine these red iris. I have had an Eclipse that had red iris like the Mack Super Snow Enigma but now his eyes looks like normal snake eyes eclipse. I can tell you that it's hard to see these red iris in the MSS Enigma eyes right now... maybe they are visible only when gecko with black eyes hatch (no matter what genetic is behind the black eyes - eclipse or super snow). They were incubated for female so it can't be because of the temperature incubation...
