You are becoming my new idol
I love that C. oldhamii... I've been looking for them for a long time but can't find anywhere available in Europe...

Cyrtodactylus is absolutely my favourite genus. I have 2.1 C. pulchellus and more species are coming.
Do you use any particular method when you try to breed them? My female coupled with both the males, but she have naver laid an egg. She is WC, so she could be simply old, but I'm not sure about this hypothesis.

Cyrtodactylus è in assoluto il mio genere preferito. Ho 2.1 C. pulchellus è presto arriveranno altre specie.
Usi qualche metodo particolare per riprodurli? La mia femmina si è accoppiata con entrambi i maschi ma non ha mai deposto uova. E' WC, quindi potrebbe semplicemente essere vecchia, ma è una ipotesi che non mi convince molto.

did you witness breeding? If you did see them breed and the female never laid eggs, then it is quite possible that she is old. Males will usually breed until there dying day but females stop sometime before that.
Cyrtodactylus are a great genus. It seems that when the C. elok started coming in in numbers, people really started to become interested in all species of Cyrtodactylus. Since most of these animals come from equilateral forests, it is only necessary to simulate a wet and a dry season, and a one or two hour light cycle shift. That usually does the trick for most species.

right now i keep around 75 species. about 300 geckos. Its a small manageable collection and i focus on southern africa and Phyllodactylus with a few other rare and unusual species.

Hai testimonianze che si siano accoppiati? Se li hai visti durante l'accoppiamento allora è possibile che la femmina sia sterile. I maschi spesso rimangono riproduttivi fino alla morte, mentre le femmine cessano di riprodursi un po' prima.
Cyrtodactylus è un grande genere. Sembra che con l'aumento di eseplari di C. elok, la gente abbia iniziato ad interessarsi a tutto il genere Cyrtodactylus.
Poichè la maggior parte di questi animali arriva da foreste equilatere, basta simulare una stagione umida e una stagione secca e rispettare il fotoperiodo con una o due ore di luce, in più o in meno.

ad oggi allevo 75 specie di gechi. Circa 300 animali. Si tratta di una piccola e gestibile raccolta, concentrata sui Sud africani Phyllodactylus e su poche altre specie insolite e rare.

giorgio...It is good to start off small with a nice hardy species. What you learn from keeping and breeding them will be very useful in the future if you should decide to "jump in" and start a larger collection. And believe me when it comes time to feed my geckos...i envy you! heheh

I did, with the second CB male. Now I'm misting abundantly every night. I hope to see some eggs this year. If she doesn't lay even this season, I'll be sure she's unfertile.

Sì ho assistito all'accoppiamento con il secondo maschio, CB. Ora sto nebulizzando abbondantemente tutte le sere. Spero di vedere qualche uovo quest'anno. Se non deporrà nemmeno stavolta, sarò sicuro che è sterile.
